Unclaimed HERO Refund
PACERefunds that remain unclaimed for a period of three years or longer will be transferred to the State of California in accordance with state regulations.
If you have received a letter from either WRCOG or the State Controller’s Office regarding an unclaimed refund, we kindly direct your attention to the instructions below on how to initiate the claim process and obtain your refund. The State Controller’s Office is currently overseeing unclaimed refunds covering the period from July 2018 to June 2021. To claim your unclaimed refund, please visit the California State Controller Unclaimed Property website.
WRCOG is actively processing claims for unclaimed refunds for the period from July 2021 to June 2022. To initiate a claim for your unclaimed refund, kindly submit your claim to unclaimedrefunds@wrcog.us.
