General Assembly
Overview
WRCOG is governed by a General Assembly comprised of elected representatives from each of WRCOG’s voting member agencies. The General Assembly meets annually to elect new leadership, adopt the agency budget, and conduct other business as necessary.
The 2025 WRCOG General Assembly was held on June 12, 2025, at the Pechanga Resort and Casino. We were honored to welcome attendees from across the region for an evening of connection, celebration, and regional collaboration.
The 2025 keynote address was delivered by Admiral William H. McRaven (Ret.), a distinguished leader, bestselling author, and former Commander of U.S. Special Operations Command. Admiral McRaven shared powerful insights on leadership, resilience, and bold decision-making, inspiring our region’s leaders for the work ahead.

Registration Opens Outside of Ballroom Entrance: 3:30 PM: Summit Ballroom Foyer doors open at 4:00 PM
Networking: 4:00 PM at the Summit Ballroom (see map below) highly recommend you arrive early to receive your name badge and meal ticket
Speaker’s Reception: Meet our speaker: 4:00- 6:00 PM: By invitation only. Check in at registration.
General Assembly at the Summit Ballroom: 6:00 PM: Doors open at 5:30 PM.
Guest Speaker at the Summit Ballroom: 7:30 PM
Post Event Reception: Following Keynote Speaker at the Summit Ballroom. Join us immediately after the speaker for an opportunity to continue networking and enjoying time with new colleagues and old.

Parking
Parking for event is free. Please park in the East or North parking structure for event access. We recommend you arrive early as the Pechanga resort is a large facility.
Pechanga does offer valet parking for $10.
The event will be held at the Summit Ballroom, located to the left of the Hotel Entrance.

A. WRCOG’s room block is now closed. Guests may visit Pechanga’s website or call Hotel Reservations at 888-732-4264 for hotel reservations.
Q. What is the dress code for the event?
A. The dress code is business formal or eveningwear.
Q. How do I get access to the VIP event?
A. VIP tickets are limited and are only available through sponsorship packages and cannot be purchased alone.
Q. I purchased a sponsorship package, but would like to add on tickets, how can I do that?

The WRCOG Supporting Foundation is a nonprofit organization that helps the Western Riverside Council of Governments (WRCOG) carry out its important work. We manage funds and resources to benefit WRCOG and our community.
One of our key initiatives is the WRCOG Public Service Fellowship Program. This is a paid, nine-month professional development opportunity that prepares students for careers in government. Fellows gain valuable, hands-on experience in public sector agencies across Western Riverside County, making a positive impact on our local community while building their future
